Over the years, I have monitored and watched the music instrument industry evolve. Steinway seems to have come out on top and now controls most of the product brands. While the quality and selection of instruments has improved dramatically in many respects, the customer service component seems to have dwindled. The contact between the manufacturers and the customers exists less and less.
